Friday-night orders, on your number
Branchlift answers a UK takeaway’s own number in the Friday rush, takes the order with payment, and sends it to the till or a kitchen ticket.
The rush is when the phone goes unanswered, and the app takes a cut
Just Eat takes 14%, Uber Eats 13 to 30%, and Deliveroo 20 to 30%. A £23 phone order loses £3 to £7 if it moves to an app.

Questions from takeaway owners
Branchlift answers the restaurant’s existing phone number, takes the order with payment, sends it to the till or a kitchen ticket, and texts the customer a confirmation. The caller is told the call is recorded, and that they are speaking with an AI. A 2017 YouGov survey found 41% ordered their last takeaway by phone. One vendor now estimates 10 to 20%. There is no independent figure for missed calls.
Independent UK takeaways and restaurants with 1 to 5 sites: pizza, Indian, Chinese, kebab and chip shops, set up as limited companies, and not on Flipdish or Foodhub. The buyer is the owner or director.
No. A new UK local number needs a UK address. Calls are forwarded from the number customers already use.
Square can take outside orders that are already paid. Lightspeed accepts takeaway orders from partners. Epos Now’s API is still unclear, so we do not claim that connection yet. If the till cannot take the order, it goes out as a kitchen ticket.
Flipdish’s phone agent runs on Flipdish. In September 2026 it had taken 10,000+ orders worth £230k+ at UK and Irish independents, and it is free for Flipdish’s own customers until the end of 2026. One Touch raised £250k to put Millie AI into 5,000 UK restaurants, through Foodhub. Millie reaches about 30,000 Foodhub venues. Branchlift is for takeaways on other tills.
Every caller is told the call is recorded, hears a privacy notice during the call, and is told they are speaking with an AI. Calls are in English. In Ireland, EU rules require an AI to say it is an AI from 2 August 2026. We say so on UK calls as well.
£99 per site per month. Flipdish charges €99 per site per month plus a per-order fee, and is free until the end of 2026 for its own customers. Softomate charges £99 to £499 a month plus setup.
Party and catering orders are planned for weeks 3 to 4. The start is the Friday-night phone order on the number you already have.
